Rapid Tax, Grassroots Organization Mobilizing Army of Citizens to Abolish Property Taxes in Florida Rapid Tax, Grassroots Organization Mobilizing Army of Citizens to Abolish Property Taxes in Florida
West Palm Beach, FL (PRWEB) December 6, 2007 -- Over the last 3 weeks, Radio Show Host and Not Good Enough Florida Founder Joe Raineri, along with Executive Director John Hallman, have hosted state-wide web and teleconference calls to help educate citizens about their plan to abolish all property taxes through a citizen's constitutional ballot initiative. Over 18,000 citizens thus far have participated.
During the teleconferences, Not Good Enough Florida has presented a panel of speakers, including Florida Representative Julio Robaina (R-Miami) who officially endorsed Not Good Enough Florida and their plan to abolish all property taxes.
Others appearing on the panel include Margie Patchett, president of the Volusia County Tax Reform organization, Not Good Enough Florida Board of Advisor Ed Conner, who also serves as the district director for the organization Americans for Fair Taxation and Adam Guilette who serves as the Florida Director for the organization Americans for Prosperity.
During one of the teleconferences, Representative Robaina pledged his 100 percent support to Not Good Enough Florida's efforts to collect the 611,000 signatures needed to place this amendment on the November 2008 ballot.
Representative Robaina commented, "I believe abolishing property taxes is the only thing that will save Florida from economic disaster, and I will personally stand out in front of Publix every day to collect signatures."
Raineri commented after the call, "It has been amazing to see the response and support from citizens all across Florida who are pledging their support, and like Representative Robaina are willing to volunteer their time and energy to collecting signatures."
Raineri went on to say, "In just a short time we have mobilized an army of citizens who are ready to hit the streets in support of our efforts."
John Hallman, executive director of the organization, believes that we may just be looking at the largest United States tax revolt since California's Proposition 13.
"With support for our efforts growing by the hour, it is clear the citizens are not going to just sit idle by anymore and allow local governments to spend our money at will," says Hallman.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH FLORIDA will be conducting these Teleconferences for Citizens every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. until the end of the year. Leaders of tax groups from around the state will be speaking.
